Hi everyone! I’m Bruce, the founder of Tsugo Creative Studio. I’ve been a filmmaker since I first picked up a camera at age 14. I felt an instant love for cinema & the technical art behind video production. Now, in 2025, I am based in Hood River, Oregon, and use Tsugo to develop commercial content for local businesses and instagram entrepreneurs!
I was born in Florida, raised in the Columbia River Gorge just outside Portland, and studied filmmaking in 11th grade full-time in Vermont under cinematographer Carlos Diaz (AFI-trained). That early, technical education shaped how I see storytelling and develop production plans.
After Film school and a year back at normal high school for 12th grade, I went on to earn my degree in Film from Portland State University. I filmed school basketball games, wrangled A/V equipment for school events, and worked freelance as much as I could in the city while going to school. I went to film school to network, and at that point, could not wait to get out into the ‘real world’ and begin working on my passions. I graduated in Fall 2022.
Eventually after school, I joined Microsoft’s Live Production Studios in Redmond, Washington. Through the production company Mighty Media Studios, I served as an Associate Producer on major live events and branded content for names like Amazon, Ford, and Asics.
I launched Tsugo in 2025 to create a strong content agency brand in Portland, OR to help bridge the gap between local talent and local businesses in need of advertising.
